I'm a 23 year old, fairly fresh out of college, Probation Officer. I never thought I'd be a probation officer, but I couldn't have imagined lucking into a job with a better company or better coworkers.
I know there's always been this stereotype that probation officers are butchy. I think the ladies in our office prove that not all probation officers have a boring wardrobe. I always wondered what type of wardrobe I'd have to wear in the "real world." Whether I'm wearing black slacks, a skirt or a dress, I love to have fun with my outfits. Gotta love big necklaces and flashy shoes.
I've always had a love/hate relationship with shopping. I love finding new pieces that I feel comfortable in, but I'm also the pickiest person ever. I like to shop alone because I take forever making decisions.
My absolute favorite place to shop is TJ Maxx. I'm definitely a "maxxinista." I always try to find an excuse to be there almost every week because they always have something new. When shopping for new "professional" pieces to add to my already overflowing closet, I only have two rules. Other than being "court appropriate" each piece has to be 1) comfortable and make me feel good about myself and 2) cute enough that I'd wear it out on the weekend.
